Synapse proxy
The ultimate Agentic Firewall & Telemetry Proxy for LLMs.
What it does
Synapse Proxy sits gracefully between your app and any OpenAI-compatible provider. It brings military-grade observability, security, and smart caching to your autonomous AI agents. Block infinite loops, redact PII, and optimize your token usage by 30%.

- IBI built a smart proxy so your coding agent can run looseJul 2026 · trollbridge.dev · ▲14
The only way to go fast is full YOLO mode in your coding agent. I've got the local sandbox figured out (pro tip: Incus VMs work great) but I wanted to keep my agents from doing things like inadvertently blowing up my cloud services or chasing a prompt to POST to some random website. I struggle most with this on my side projects where my permission model isn't quite as robust as it is at the office. I started with a firewall on the Incus container but every time the agent needed access to something new, I was poking more holes in it - and it didn't differentiate between HTTP verbs. I've been…
- BAButter, a muscle memory cache for LLMsOct 2025 · docs.butter.dev · ▲23
Hi HN, Erik here. Today we launch Butter, an OpenAI-compatible API proxy that caches LLM generations and serves them deterministically on revisit. Since April, we’ve been working on this concept of “muscle memory,” or deterministic replay, for agent systems performing automations. You may recall our first post in May, launching a python package called Muscle Mem: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43988381 Since then, the product has evolved entirely, now taking the form of an LLM Proxy. For a deep dive into this process, check out:…
- OSOpen-Source Gateway to Stop Tool-Abusing Prompt InjectionsOct 2025 · archestra.ai · ▲9
Hi HN, Matvey, Ildar, Joey, and Dominik here. If you're building LLM agents that use tools, you're probably worried about prompt injection attacks that can hijack those tools. We were too, and found that solutions like prompt-based filtering or secondary "guard" LLMs can be unreliable. Our thesis is that agent security should be handled at the network level between the agent and the LLM, just like a traditional web application firewall. So we built Archestra Platform: an open-source gateway that acts as a secure proxy for your AI agents. It's designed to be a deterministic firewall against…
- LALunaRoute – a high-performance local proxy for AI coding assistantsOct 2025 · github.com · ▲8
LunaRoute is a high-performance local proxy for AI coding assistants like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex CLI, and OpenCode. Get complete visibility into every LLM interaction with zero-overhead passthrough, comprehensive session recording, and powerful debugging capabilities. - See Everything Your AI Does - get full logs (JSONL), summary of sessions including tokens used (input/output) as well as tools usage and success rates. - Privacy & Compliance Built-In - redact or tokenize any sensitive information (regex based). - Speaks OpenAI and Anthropic dialects so you can route (and translate)…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

- H6Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481
Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!
