Synthetic Division Calculator

Solve polynomial division problems instantly with Ease Tools

Synthetic Division Calculator launched on April 12, 2026.

What it does

Solve polynomial division problems instantly with Ease Tools. A precise Synthetic Division Calculator with step-by-step logic and remainder theorem results.

Problem: Divide x^2 - 5x + 6 by (x - 2) using the Ease Tools engine. Solution: This Synthetic Division Calculator uses the root of the linear factor to perform horizontal polynomial reduction steps. Final Result: Quotient = x - 3, Remainder = 0. This proves (x-2) is a perfect factor of the polynomial. The calculators and utilities on Ease Tools are intended for general informational use only. Although we work hard to maintain accuracy, errors can occur, and we cannot guarantee exact results. Users must verify important calculations themselves. I made a calculator that works over disjoint sets of intervalsApr 2026 · victorpoughon.github.io · ▲314

I've been studying interval arithmetic for the past few weeks and it's a really interesting field because while there is a ton of super interesting research published over the past decades, it has never really gotten the recognition that it deserves, IMO. One reason for this is that standard interval arithmetic has really poor handling of division by intervals containing zero. If you compute 1 / [-1, 2] in regular interval arithmetic, you get either [-∞, +∞], or you have to say that the operation is undefined. Both solutions are virtually useless. The real answer of course is [-∞, -1] U…

  • With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them.
