Tabstack by Mozilla

Extract web data and automate browsers, no scraper required.

What it does

Tabstack is a web data and automation API that delivers reliable structured output. Pass a URL and a schema, get back JSON that matches every time. Run research in one call and get cited answers back. Automate browsers without running infrastructure. The intelligence is built into every API call. No scraper to build, maintain, or watch break when a site changes. Built at Mozilla.

    Tabstack – Browser infrastructure for AI agents (by Mozilla)Jan 2026 · ▲130

Hi HN, My team and I are building Tabstack to handle the "web layer" for AI agents. Launch Post: https://tabstack.ai/blog/intro-browsing-infrastructure-ai-ag... Maintaining a complex infrastructure stack for web browsing is one of the biggest bottlenecks in building reliable agents. You start with a simple fetch, but quickly end up managing a complex stack of proxies, handling client-side hydration, and debugging brittle selectors. and writing custom parsing logic for every site. Tabstack is an API that abstracts that infrastructure. You send a URL and an intent; we…

Tabstack Research – An API for verified web research (by Mozilla)Feb 2026 · ▲10

Hi HN, My team and I are building Tabstack to handle the web layer for AI agents. Today we are sharing Tabstack Research, an API for multi-step web discovery and synthesis. https://tabstack.ai/blog/tabstack-research-verified-answers In many agent systems, there is a clear distinction between extracting structured data from a single page and answering a question that requires reading across many sources. The first case is fairly well served today. The second usually is not. Most teams handle research by combining search, scraping, and summarization. This becomes brittle…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

  • Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
