Tafy

What it does

Tafy is flipping the ridesharing model. Instead of an algorithm deciding what you pay, drivers publish their own fares in real time - like independent professionals opening their business every morning. No surge pricing. No black-box algorithms. No platform dictating what a driver is worth. Passengers see available drivers nearby, their real price, and choose. Drivers keep what they earn. We're two founders building this from Bali, launching in Madrid. The waitlist is open.

  Hackney – Compare Uber, Lyft, Waymo, and Robotaxi PricesJul 2026 · hackney.app · ▲60

I created an app that compares real-time prices and wait times across Uber, Lyft, Waymo, Tesla Robotaxi, Curb, and Empower. It shows you all ride options in one list, then once you’re ready to book, it deeplinks you to the provider’s app with the route pre-filled. Edit: Here's a demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV8PEAjxwQI I reverse-engineered ride-hailing mobile apps to understand how they fetch prices from their servers. You sign in to my app with your ride-hailing accounts, and then my app requests live prices from the same APIs that ride-hailing apps use.…

  Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481

Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

  Performative-UI – A react component library of design tropes▲1,181

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
