What it does

Discover Taletune, the innovative app that brings storytelling to life! With our voice cloning technology, children can enjoy personalized audio stories in their own voices. Dive into a magical world of imagination and creativity.

Taletune narrates children's bedtime stories in your own AI-cloned voice. Record once, then play any story back in your voice. iOS and Android.

Record a few seconds of your voice once. Taletune's AI then narrates any story in the library in your voice — so your child hears you at bedtime, however far away you are. You read one short text out loud. After that, the app can read any children's story to your child — and it sounds like you. About a minute, once. The app listens and learns how your voice sounds. Setting up takes minutes. Read a short passage aloud one time and your voice profile is ready — from then on every story in the library can play back in your own voice. Your voice is protected, never shared, and you can delete it at any time. Create a unique voice profile for each family member. Capture your own voice to bring…from taletune.com

Hello HN, I'm excited to share a project my co-founder and I have been working on - TaleBot. What It Does: TaleBot creates a personalized bedtime story based on parent/caregiver's inputs. You can customize the theme, the challenges (kid-friendly obstacles) the characters face, and even the moral lesson it teaches. Once the story is ready, you'll receive a PDF file, and an AI narrated voiceover of it. Try It Out: We've made it as barrier-free as possible for you to test. Use the promo code HNFREETALE on our story creation form, and you can get a story written for free, no sign-ups…

I realized that the PDF engines of modern desktop browsers (PDFium and PDF.js) support JavaScript with enough I/O primitives to make a basic game like Tetris. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box. All in all it's quite janky but a nice reminder of how general purpose PDF scripting can be. The linked PDF is all ASCII so you can just open it in a text editor, or have a look at…

I originally built this app to organize and reuse interesting React + Tailwind components I came across on Twitter, inspired by the shadcn/ui approach. Later, a friend started contributing their own components, and it got me thinking—this could grow into something bigger, like an NPM for design engineers to share and use components. Would love to hear your thoughts!
