Telebugs
Hey hackers! In January 2025, I started building Telebugs. It's an installable error tracker that works with Sentry SDKs. I come from a Rails background and previously worked at an error tracking/APM company, so I figured: why not build my own? I wanted a simple, reliable tool I could own outright, without surprise bills for overages. Telebugs is built with Rails 8, Hotwire, TailwindCSS, and SQLite. Like 37signals’ ONCE products (my inspiration), it’s pay-once: prep your hardware, run one command, and you’ll be up and running in 10 minutes (5 minutes refers to the actual installation…

In plain words
Telebugs is a self-hosted error tracking platform designed for developers and engineering teams. It captures errors and exceptions across applications using Sentry-compatible SDKs and provides instant alerts. The software requires a one-time payment and runs locally via a single command, giving organizations full control over their error monitoring data without relying on cloud infrastructure.

From the sources
Self-hosting Sentry’s tough. With Telebugs? A breeze. Fully compatible with Sentry SDKs, it catches errors and exceptions and alerts you instantly. Pay once, download, run a single command, and track errors across your entire company. Your data? It stays yours
Self-hosted error tracking that accepts Sentry SDK events. Run one container, keep data on your server, and pay once—without event quotas or seat fees.
Error trackers have become powerful tools that monitor everything. They’re also complicated and expensive. Somewhere along the way, the point got lost. You want to know what broke, fix it, and move on. Telebugs brings that clarity back. Jakub Winkler Codeal s.r.o. Telebugs $299 USD Checkout What is it? Telebugs is a refreshingly simple , installable error tracking system and a drop-in Sentry alternative that collects, groups, and notifies you about errors in your applications. Run it on your server and point the Sentry SDKs you already use at it. Your applications keep reporting errors the same way. The difference is where those reports go, who controls the data, and how much software you…from telebugs.com
In the maker’s words, at launch
This project is inspired by 37signals’ ONCE idea. I replicated the whole process and have already sold a few copies (the testimonials are real).

superlogJun 2026 · superlog.sh · ▲497Hey HN, we’re Nico and Arseniy, co-founders of Superlog (https://superlog.sh). We're building a self-installing, self healing observability tool meant not to be opened. It has a wizard that daily sets up proper logging and an agent that investigates errors and opens PRs. Super short demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFhU9Mk247M. In our earlier startups, we tried Sentry, Datadog, Grafana, Dash0, and nothing was good enough. Proper telemetry and alerting still requires a ton of manual setup. We struggled with adding good logs, so debugging was tough, especially as…

- DADriftDB – an open source WebSocket backend for real-time apps2023 · driftdb.com · ▲367
Hey HN! I’ve written a bunch of WebSocket servers over the years to do simple things like state synchronization, WebRTC signaling, and notifying a client when a backend job was run. I realized that if I had a simple way to create a private, temporary, mini-redis that the client could talk to directly, it would save a lot of time. So we created DriftDB. In addition to the open source server that you can run yourself, we also provide https://jamsocket.live where you can use an instance we host on Cloudflare’s edge (~13ms round trip latency from my home in NY). You may have seen my…

Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Tapflow 2.0▲1,125We built Tapflow for devs, designers, PMs, and tech folks who’ve been sitting on internal docs, templates, and systems — but never productized them. Upload a PDF, notes, or workshop deck, and Tapflow drafts a structured product (with chapters, teaser and pricing plans). It’s good for AI kits, onboarding guides, design systems, and frameworks. You can sell through Stripe, LemonSqueezy, or PayPal. Real-time collaboration is in early beta. No site builder, no LMS — clean design and just focused tools to ship.
