In plain words

Teleport is a command line application built in Haskell that lets users create and manage "warp points" for quick navigation across the file system. The tutorial walks developers through building this practical tool, demonstrating how Haskell libraries work together to create a functional application. Users can add, delete, and list warp points to streamline file system navigation from the terminal.

From the sources

We're going to build a command line application called teleport , It allows people to add "warp points" to navigate the file system. The warp points support creating new warp points, deleting them, and listing them. You'll see Haskell libraries in action, and put them together to build something tangible. $ git clone https://github.com/bollu/teleport.git && cd teleport && cabal build && cabal install teleport To use the teleport wrapper you will need, run $ echo source `pwd` /teleport.sh >> ~/.bashrc change ~/.bashrc to the correct shell needed add a "warp point" that allows us to come back to the folder. # by default, teleport point is at current working directory ~/play/teleport-haskell$…from bollu.github.io

Hi HN community, I’m Zach, founder and CEO of Warp, and am excited to show you Warp, a fast Rust-based terminal that’s easy to use and built for teams. As of today, Warp is in public beta and any Mac user can download it. It works with bash, zsh, and fish. The terminal’s teletype-like interface has made it hard for the CLI to thrive. After 20 years of programming, I still find it hard to copy a command’s output; I always forget how to use `tar`; and I always have to relearn how to move my cursor. To fix fundamental accessibility issues, I believe we need to start innovating on the terminal,…
