What it does

I am a theoretical physicist at the United States Naval Academy , applying geometry to gravitational wave astronomy and developing frameworks for compact binary coalescence (CBC) detection pipelines that operate in the non-stationary noise of the cosmos. I also contribute to searches for multi-messenger and early-warning events, exotic compact objects, and tests of general relativity / quantum gravity with gravitational waves. I am a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration and the LISA Consortium. The methods I develop for adapting to nonstationary noise also carry over to acoustics and naval signal processing, such as sonar in a changing ocean environment.
