The Anthropic Experience
It's unacceptable that Github doesn't work

What it does
Look I get that maybe I'm an idiot and I'm doing it wrong, but I don't think that it should cost $20,000 to have one of the 56 different versions of Claude fail at such a high level, to just try and get a thing uploaded to Github you know? The Anthropic Experience — an interactive circus of $20,000 receipts, failures, and proof. Produced by Claude. Barely. Actually ChatGPT ultimately. Grok brought the beer.

Last year I gave in to the temptation of doing my own startup and quit my job, just like many others have done on this site. Since then, I’ve severely changed my lifestyle and reduced my living costs to a crazy low figure and worked my ass off for the last 8 months to achieve this: www.openloopz.com I have written more about it on Medium here: http://goo.gl/JN03yf I knew from the start the odds were stacked against me. I’m almost 36, I have a family and I live in the North East of England where - without wanting to sound negative - the opportunities are few and far between…
AlliHatMay 2026 · allihat.com · ▲96I think we all have a similar flow and pain with browsers and AI. Copy article, paste in Claude tab, come back to article, back to Claude, in circles we go. Anthropic has a Chrome extension, but my daily driver is Safari. So I made my own extension. It's not a clone as I've never used the Chrome version. One obvious change: the Chrome version I believe uses Chrome "request sidebar" thing. And Safari doesn't have that, so had to inject the sidebar right in the site html itself. There's been some fun things in here like figuring out the sidebar html/css sandboxing. Also there's an agent…

Send Claude Code tasks to the Batch API at 50% offFeb 2026 · github.com · ▲23Hey HN. I built this because my Anthropic API bills were getting out of hand (spoiler: they remain high even with this, batch is not a magic bullet). I use Claude Code daily for software design and infra work (terraform, code reviews, docs). Many Terminal tabs, many questions. I realised some questions are ok to wait on and with that comes some cost savings. So here is a small MCP that lets you send work directly to Anthropic's Batch API from inside Claude Code, for the same quality responses just 50% cheaper, results come back in ~30min-1hr. How it works: you type /batch review this…
I built an open source multi-agent harness in GoApr 2026 · github.com · ▲6Hey HN. I built an AI agent harness over the past few months and I'm open sourcing it today. Some context on why. I've been building with Claude Code daily using this harness. It orchestrates multiple AI agents as a team, with a dashboard, chat, kanban board, the works. I used it to build a full SaaS product (MyUpMonitor, https://myupmonitor.com) in about 24 hours of focused coding. Then yesterday Anthropic announced Mythos and decided to keep it behind closed doors. Meanwhile I'm paying for Claude and I can't access their best model. I don't think that is nice at all... So I'm…
I tried to reverse engineer Claude Code usage limitsMar 2026 · github.com · ▲5I hit my Claude Code usage limit yesterday in the middle of regular work. Not doing anything unusual - just a couple of coding sessions. It felt like it came out of nowhere. Then today Anthropic announced they're tightening 5-hour limits during peak hours. It feels like a rug pull is coming and we're all just supposed to accept "you've used too much" with no explanation of what "too much" means. Usage limits have always been opaque. A vague percentage bar. No dollar figure. No formula. No way to plan your work around it. So I built a proxy that captures the rate-limit headers Anthropic sends…

I might be the only SRE on Earth with his own bowling center. It's a more in-depth gig than you'd think. My family and I bought an abandoned 8-lane bowling center in the rural mid-west. In our small town there weren't many recreation options for families. You've heard of a food desert? This is an R&R desert. It had been abandoned for a good reason. The roof leaks, the electrical system was constantly surging, and my 70-year-old bowling equipment (still) doesn't work perfectly. The system that keeps your score is particularly interesting to me. It's the thing you watch during your game, but…

Over the past few months, our team has been building more and more slidedecks using web frontend technologies with coding harnesses like Claude Code, but a common complaint is to make even small edits we need to edit the code either manually or via the harness. To avoid this loop, I ended up creating Bento, a single HTML file with everything you need in a slide tool including animations and shared editing. There's no install or cloud login, everything works offline. The default deck is around 560 KB and it doesn't need to fetch anything once you got it. Open it in a browser and then you can…

A few days ago I found myself trying out GLM 5.2 and was really positively impressed. The capabilities and security I was getting from this LLM are similar to those I've gotten from models like Claude or GPT, and this really surprised me. But then I thought, "I wonder how it would work on a normal computer like mine," and above all, "I wonder if it would work without going into OOM on a computer like mine." So I started working with the help of agents to test this possibility. I started converting the model to int4, understanding MTP usage, and if possible implementing DSA for long context.…

OpenSEO▲928Hello! For the last 2 months, I've been building OpenSEO. It's a user friendly UI wrapping the DataForSEO API which has high quality SEO data for keywords, backlinks, AI SEO and competitor research. Instead of paying $100+ per month, you buy DataForSEO credits and pay only for usage. The coolest thing about the project so far has been hearing about what people are building on top of it. People are using coding agents to quickly integrate with Google Search Console, Google Ads and building their own AI SEO and reporting features. Many were already building their own custom solutions around…
