ThimbleCSS launched on July 7, 2016 with 4 votes. The site was still online in September 2026, 10 years on.

What it does

No bloat, all foundation. Get a minimal starting point for layouts, typography, and base components that's simple to customize and extend. Use only the CSS threads you need to start building. Built with semantic and expressive classnames for clarity and ease of use. No JS requirements, no huge settings files to manage, and no major css overrides to get in the way. Override variables or create your own custom overrides file. View the override reference file . To customize breakpoints, use the @use...with configuration syntax when…from thimblecss.com
