tmux-grid
Hi HN! I've been using kitty for a while but yesterday i decided to switch to ghostty and i realized that i would need tmux to manage my panes if i wanted to get the grid as i wanted So i made the reasonable thing: built a visualizer for the layout so i can just copy the setup and drop the `.sh` wherever i need I probably missed a few thing in this but it's my first day with tmux any feedback would be absolutely amazing Demo: https://tmux-grid.itzami.com Repo: https://github.com/ItzaMi/tmux-grid

What it does
Getting into tmux can be daunting, especially if you're coming from a place where the pane grid is just pre-done for you! But it doesn't need to be! With tmux-grid you can predefine your grid layout and add it to your tmux config!
Design tmux pane layouts visually and export a ready-to-run shell script that recreates the session.

Dwm.tmux – a dwm-inspired window manager for tmuxJan 2026 · github.com · ▲101Hey, HN! With all recent agentic workflows being primarily terminal- and tmux-based, I wanted to share a little project I created about decade ago. I've continued to use this as my primary terminal "window manager" and wanted to share in case others might find it useful. I would love to hear about other's terminal-based workflows and any other tools you may use with similar functionality.
PrettyMuxApr 2026 · prettymux.com · ▲73I built PrettyMux as a native Linux terminal workspace for multitask workflows and keeping track of my agents. It’s a GTK4 app built on Ghostty/libghostty, with split panes, workspaces, vertical tabs, notifications, project-aware tabs (shows favicons/logo automatically), and an in-app browser so terminals and docs/tools can live side by side. I started it because I wanted something tmux-like for modern GUI workflows on Linux, but native and not Electron, there is cmux but only available on macos (prettymux compiles on windows and macos too but not tested for now there) It’s…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
