Private tutor management WhatsApp first. Starting in Spain
What it does
Private tutor management built around WhatsApp. Students don't install anything — no app, no account, no signup. Tutors manage from the web; students interact through their existing WhatsApp chat. Includes calendar with enforced cancellation rules, payment ledger with automated reminders, task delivery through WhatsApp. We're starting in Spain because WhatsApp is the default family communication channel here. English and other languages coming next. Open beta
Does the same job

- WMWhatsApp MCP Server2025 · github.com · ▲229
Hi HN – I built an open-source, self-hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for WhatsApp: https://github.com/lharries/whatsapp-mcp It connects to your personal WhatsApp account via the WhatsApp Web multi-device API (using whatsmeow from the Beeper team), and doesn't rely on third-party APIs. All messages are stored locally in SQLite. Nothing is sent to the cloud unless you explicitly allow your LLM to access the data via tools – so you maintain full control and privacy. The MCP server can: - Search your messages, contacts, and groups - Send WhatsApp messages to…
- AJA journaling service that runs over WhatsApp2024 · todayhasbeen.com · ▲126
Hey Hacker News, I’m excited to share a tiny service that’s very close to my heart - Today Has Been. Here’s how it works: We have a phone number that has WhatsApp Business API enabled. Your messages sent to this number (after you activate your free trial) are added to your journal. It’s a super light weight journaling service - no app download or registration is required. We also send you a daily nudge asking “How did your day go?” and after you have a few posts we send you a random blast from the past. Why I built it: I was an active user and fan of Ohlife - only journalling app that could…

- PAPivots and millions later, I built a lambda to start WhatsApp chats2023 · compose.im · ▲23
I've been working on my startup for years to no avail. Raised VC money and burned through millions - now built a simple service that lets you add a "chat to us" button (or can hook to your forms) to launch a WhatsApp chat. The key here is that the button can open chats with different WhatsApp numbers based on rules you can set. These rules can be based on the website visitor's geography, language, time spent on your site or even your business's office hours. Can also hook onto existing forms and use form fields in the rules too. Try it out on our site by clicking the chat to us button and…

Built a ~9M param LLM from scratch to understand how they actually work. Vanilla transformer, 60K synthetic conversations, ~130 lines of PyTorch. Trains in 5 min on a free Colab T4. The fish thinks the meaning of life is food. Fork it and swap the personality for your own character.

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
