What it does
TwiceDB uses bitemporal modeling to maintain a complete history of your data, tracking both when something happened “in the real world” and when the database learned that it happened. This allows you to “time travel” - to reproduce all past query results.
TwiceDB is a bitemporal object database that maintains a complete history of your data.
Bitemporal modeling maintains a complete history of your data, tracking both when something happened “in the real world” and when the database learned that it happened. This allows you to “time travel” - to reproduce query results using data that has since changed or been deleted - and to understand data evolution over time. See Why TwiceDB to learn more. Since we operate in the AWS cloud, there’s minimal latency between your servers and ours. Run a nearly unlimited number of reads in parallel with consistent latency. We publish client libraries for Go and for Java to make developing with TwiceDB fast and easy. Get started in minutes by following our examples…from twicedb.com

SirixDB – Bitemporal binary JSON database system and event store2023 · github.com · ▲109I had already posted the project a couple of years ago, and it gained some interest, but a lot of stuff has been done since then, especially regarding performance, a completely new JSON store, a REST API, various internals refactored, an improved JSONiq based query engine allowing updates, implementing set-oriented join optimizations, a now already dated web UI, a new Kotlin based CLI, a Python and TypeScript client to ease the use of Sirix... First prototypes from a precursor stem already from 2005. So, what is it all about? The system uses ideas from ZFS (a keyed index trie, storing…

Hi, my name is Anguel and I am one of the developers of WhoDB (https://github.com/clidey/whodb) I am not a fan of the dbeaver, beekeeper, adminer, etc experience because they are bloated, ugly, and at best okay but not great. Hence why I started working on WhoDB. The approach: - browser-based (chrome/firefox) - no bloat - jupyter notebook-like experience (Scratchpad) - built-in AI co-pilot with ollama (local) or openai/anthropic We just shipped query history and replay (time travel?) to the Scratchpad. Would love for you to check it out and give some feedback…

I'm a big fan of the BBC podcast In Our Time -- and (like most people) I've been playing with the OpenAI APIs. In Our Time has almost 1,000 episodes on everything from Cleopatra to the evolution of teeth to plasma physics, all still available, so it's my starting point to learn about most topics. But it's not well organised. So here are the episodes sorted by library code. It's fun to explore. Web scraping is usually pretty tedious, but I found that I could send the minimised HTML to GPT-3 and get (almost) perfect JSON back: the prompt includes the Typescript definition. At the same time I…
