What it does
Typr is a Medium-like editor for React that integrates with your user system and CMS. It handles content loading, creation, and auto-saving out of the box.
Generate type‑safe Java, Kotlin and Scala code from databases, OpenAPI, Avro and gRPC. One unified domain type, validated across every boundary.
Type‑safe code, generated for every boundary in your stack — databases, REST APIs, Avro topics, gRPC services. One domain type definition. The compiler enforces every contract. Database to API. API to event bus. Event bus to RPC service. Each crossing is a translation, and every translation is an opportunity to drop, mistype, or quietly mangle a field. Most teams paper over this with hand‑written DTOs, mapper classes, and a slow‑burning fear of refactoring. Typr takes the opposite approach: read the schema, generate the types, let the compiler enforce the boundary. Every ID is a Long. Every name is a String. Mix them up and the compiler waves you through. Generated distinct types. The…from typr.dev

Tiptap Editor 3.0 Beta2025 · tiptap.dev · ▲446Show HN: Tiptap Editor 3.0 Beta is out. Hi HN! Philip here from Tiptap (https://tiptap.dev/). We're excited to announce Tiptap 3.0 Beta, a major upgrade built with and for the open source community. It's still extension-based, still unopinionated, but we've tackled some of the biggest developer headaches: Enhanced TypeScript support: Strong typing for extension storage and config options. Server-side compatibility: Manipulate editor content on the server, no DOM required. JSX support: Leverage a modern, React/Vue-like approach to describing your node output. Expanded…

Talanoa▲345Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hey there HN! We’re Joe and Stopa, and today we’re open sourcing InstantDB, a client-side database that makes it easy to build real-time and collaborative apps like Notion and Figma. Building modern apps these days involves a lot of schleps. For a basic CRUD app you need to spin up servers, wire up endpoints, integrate auth, add permissions, and then marshal data from the backend to the frontend and back again. If you want to deliver a buttery smooth user experience, you’ll need to add optimistic updates and rollbacks. We do these steps over and over for every feature we build, which can…
