Your notch, put to work: calendar, clipboard, timers
What it does
uNotch turns your MacBook's notch into a row of widgets you pick and reorder yourself. Click the notch and it opens: today's events with a one-click Join for Zoom, Meet and Teams; CPU, memory and battery; clipboard history; a shelf to park files mid-drag, where a dropped video comes back as a GIF; pomodoro, timer and stopwatch on one ring, with the countdown in the menu bar. Calendar, System, Pomodoro, Timer, Stopwatch and Color Picker are free. Everything runs on device, no analytics.

Choose how the notch panel is drawn. On macOS 26 it can stay solid black, take on Liquid Glass, or wear one of six tints, and you set how much the glass dims what is behind it. On earlier versions the panel looks as it always has. The Clipboard page no longer records payment card numbers. A copy that is nothing but a card number is recognised and skipped, always, with no setting to switch it off. Files dragged out of the app now arrive under their own names. A card pulled off the Shelf used to land as "QuickTime movie.mov", and a file from the Folder page as "report.pdf.pdf". The Shelf also names its 1 GB limit before you drag, and turns a larger file away instead of copying it first.…from apps.apple.com

I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers.
