What it does
Visual Crosswords is a word puzzle game with a unique twist: instead of written clues, each crossword comes with an image full of visual hints. Study the picture, spot the details, and figure out the hidden words. Built natively for Android with Jetpack Compose. Fluid performance, intuitive touch controls, and beautifully designed levels. Available in English and Spanish. A solo indie project born from a love of puzzles and a desire to do something different with the crossword format.

As a fan of dense New York Times-style crosswords, I challenged myself to create topic-specific puzzles. It turns out that generating crosswords and efficiently placing words is a non-trivial computational problem.
