In plain words
VoltAgent is an open-source TypeScript framework designed for building AI agents. Launched in September 2025, it provides developers with tools to create intelligent autonomous systems using TypeScript. The framework is intended for software engineers and teams looking to implement AI agent functionality within their applications. VoltAgent's primary distinction is its focus on TypeScript compatibility, making it accessible to JavaScript-ecosystem developers who want to work with AI agent technology.

VoltAgent2025 · github.com · ▲162Hi HN, I'm founder of VoltAgent, a new open-source TypeScript-based framework for building AI agents. We know there are many frameworks out there. Our short story of why we built VoltAgent goes like this: We were developing an AI application ourselves. Initially, we tried existing frameworks. We also explored different flows using no-code tools. We noticed something interesting: the visual approach of tools like n8n made AI workflows much clearer and easier to understand. Building flows visually was neat and provided great visibility. However, we quickly ran into problems with no-code tools:…

Hi HN! We just launched Verdent, an AI coding agent that actually plans before it codes, tests its own work, and delivers production-ready results without you having to clean up after it. tl;dr Check out the website [1] and read the story [2] - The problem: Current AI tools dump code and leave you to debug. You ask for "build a login endpoint" and get a passwordless JWT mess that doesn't fit your project. We've talked to hundreds of engineers who are frustrated with having to micromanage AI output. - What we built: Verdent works more like a senior engineer. It asks clarifying questions…

GitAgent by LyzrMar 2026 · gitagent.sh · ▲231Hey HN, We built GitAgent — a git-native, framework-agnostic open standard for defining AI agents. The idea is simple: your repo IS the agent. npx @open-gitagent/gitagent@latest run -r https://github.com/shreyas-lyzr/architect -a claude That one command clones the repo, reads agent.yaml + SOUL.md + skills/, and launches it with Claude Code. Switch `-a openai` or `-a lyzr` to run the same agent on a different framework. No code changes. Goal: is keep the gitagent as a open standard ledger for an AI Agent in a VM, with versioned memories, skills etc. An agent is…

The site hit #1 on HN about a year ago. Got enough traffic that I turned it into a proper API. What's there: - REST API — 35k products, manually filterable by category, free key, 60 req/min - CLI — npx anycrap random -c food - faker.js plugin — bundled, no API call, works offline - HuggingFace dataset — full 35k rows for ML/training https://anycrap.shop/developers

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into! So, I started with embedding apps into the terminal because that is the easiest input/output (output is just utf-8 and I use the great `chafa` library for that, and I just read from stdin for the input). If you have any other ideas for cool Wayland compositors, let me know. I purposedly wrote 80% the app in Typescript to appeal to the most developers and…

Years ago I stumbled across a basic version of this concept and it stuck with me. I knew if I was ever going to take on such a project, it would need to be flawless, but without coding experience it was just another idea that would never happen. By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
