VuFi
After graduating from college I quickly realized that my money was ending up in a lot of different places. I was frustrated having to log in to different bank accounts, retirement accounts, and investment accounts, and tally everything up at the end of the month in a spreadsheet. So I created VuFi, which does it for me, automatically, every day! I've been building the app myself over the last few years, and it's finally gotten to the point where I believe it can be useful for other people as well. I would love any feedback on the idea, UI, or features that I should add in the near future!
VuFi launched on January 3, 2025 with 8 votes, #2,695 of 6,142 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does
One, simple, intuitive platform to organize and track your assets and liabilities. Link your bank accounts, investment accounts, bank accounts, and any other financial accounts to VuFi, where you can track them in one place, with helpful data visualizations.

Wealthfolio: Private, open-source investment tracker2024 · wealthfolio.app · ▲924Thank you for your comments, just some context: - The app is a simple desktop application that works on macOS, Windows, and Ubuntu. - I developed this app for my own needs. Getting tired of SaaS app subscriptions and privacy concerns. - For now, the activities are logged manually or imported from a CSV file. No integration with Plaid or other platforms. - No monetization is planned for now (only a "buy me a coffee" if you use and appreciate the app).
RayApr 2026 · rayfinance.app · ▲293I've been using this daily for 4 months and figured others might find it useful. This is my first open source project so would love any feedback. Ray connects to your bank via Plaid, stores everything in an encrypted local SQLite database, and lets you ask questions about your finances in natural language. No cloud, no account, your data is stored on your machine. Before anything reaches the LLM, all PII is stripped — your name, companies, transaction details are redacted and replaced with tokens, then rehydrated locally in the response. The AI never sees who you are.

I realized that the PDF engines of modern desktop browsers (PDFium and PDF.js) support JavaScript with enough I/O primitives to make a basic game like Tetris. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box. All in all it's quite janky but a nice reminder of how general purpose PDF scripting can be. The linked PDF is all ASCII so you can just open it in a text editor, or have a look at…

21st.dev▲1,211I originally built this app to organize and reuse interesting React + Tailwind components I came across on Twitter, inspired by the shadcn/ui approach. Later, a friend started contributing their own components, and it got me thinking—this could grow into something bigger, like an NPM for design engineers to share and use components. Would love to hear your thoughts!
