What it does

WhatsApp Web still dumps every chat into one long list. WA Folders is a Chrome extension that adds folders, a local search index, and HTML/CSV/Markdown export on web.whatsapp.com. It only runs on WhatsApp Web. Folders, search text, and exports stay in chrome.storage.local on your computer. No account. No server. No bulk send. Not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.

The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role.
