WallLogic

Auto-change wallpapers based on real-world conditions

What it does

WallLogic automatically changes your Android wallpaper based on real-world conditions. Unlike typical wallpaper apps that just rotate images on a timer, WallLogic can also react to weather at no extra cost. Combine conditions like weather, temperature, time of day, weekday, season, and battery level to create powerful automation rules. Set them up once and they run forever in the background. Privacy-first: your location is only used for weather and is never stored or shared.

Hey all! This is a lightweight Android app to auto-change your wallpaper using AI generated images, implemented via the recently introduced DALL·E 3 API. I wanted something no-frills that isn't a bloated commercial option, so this is that. Open source, but also on the Play Store for convenience: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.minosapps.... It (optionally) injects the current time, current location (city and country name only, using coarse location access) and current weather into the prompt, so you can easily get a night scene with rain in the…

  • Hey we are Computable. We spent years building trading infrastructure at Jump Trading and Coinbase. From that point of view, compute looks like energy markets before 2000: everything trades through private bilateral leases, there’s no visible price, and nothing can be resold. The same H100 rents at a 2x spread depending on who’s asking, and once you sign a 24-month lease, it can never change hands. So we built a market for GPU nodes, sold by the calendar week. Here are three things you can do on it that you can’t do anywhere else: - Buy exactly the weeks you need. Three nodes for the last…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
