Wax&Pigment - Artist Oil Bar Calculator

What it does

Wax & Pigment is for artists who make oil bars by hand — mulling pigment, melting beeswax, pouring sticks from scratch. The hard part isn't the mixing. It's remembering what worked. Precise gram recipes, a Painter's Pigment Wheel, texture prediction, and a searchable Palette Bank for every batch you've made. Discover colors no catalogue carries. Make them again anytime.

Pigment data, OAR-based calculations, oil selection, studio records, and handmade Studio Sticks from Wax & Pigment.

Wax & Pigment combines pigment data, OAR-based calculations, oil selection, consistency controls, batch notes, safety guidance, and printable records in one studio app. The app keeps your recipes, material choices, batch records, and process notes together without asking you to make the same decision twice. Real notes from artists using Wax & Pigment in their studios. Start with pigment, oil, and wax at the table. Use Wax & Pigment to keep the ratios, material choices, batch notes, and repeatable recipe in one place. Handmade oil sticks, one at a time. Small central label, quiet paper wrapping the rest — a materials system, not a decorative productfrom waxandpigment.com

  Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481

Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
