Wearform

Your wardrobe, on a mannequin shaped like you

What it does

Wardrobe apps catalogue your clothes, then show your outfits as flat cutouts on a grid. Wearform draws a 2.5D mannequin from your own height, shoulders, hips and body type and puts the outfit on it, so you can judge proportion before you get dressed. A croquis, not a virtual try-on. Background removal runs on-device. No account, no sign-up, no tracking SDK, no Wearform server. Suggestions explain themselves with reason chips — colour, occasion, formality, temperature. Rule-based, not a model.

Arrange the clothes you already own on a figure set to your own proportions. Outfit planner, capsule wardrobe and cost-per-wear tracker for iPhone — no account, no tracking.

Most closet apps file your clothes into a flat grid. Wearform draws a figure from the measurements you enter and arranges your real garments on it — no account, no tracking, and no photos sent to anyone's server. Designers sketch on a croquis — a plain figure with human proportions — because a garment only makes sense on a body. Most wardrobe apps stop at the flat grid. Wearform puts the outfit on a figure you've shaped. Pick a body type — slim, average, athletic, curvy, plus — then set height, build, shoulders, hips, arm and leg length. The figure is redrawn from those values. Garment placement and outline respond to the figure's proportions, so a top sits on your shoulders rather than…from jasonyeyuhe.github.io

It's up and running at : http://www.waywn.com/ The gist of the app is building a community around fashion that fits an individual's style. Understandably, there are similar applications that have launched recently, but we feel that ours is distinct enough to still have a valuable place in the fashion ecosystem. The biggest difference from ours and sites such as Pose, Fashism, Tryiton, Lookbook, etc. is that we want to capture a lot of the forum based discussions and create a community out of them. The existing sites tend to skew heavily female (to the point where the design often alienates…

  • I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up. One…
