Welcome to dropsauce.com
Hey all, Well after months of hard work (and even more months of dreaming about doing this), I've finally got around to finishing something I've started. :D http://dropsauce.com It's a file upload service where you upload your files into named drops. Sure, this is pretty much similar to some sites you may have seen before and although the internet is saturated with upload services, I still made this more as a learning experience for myself. Hopefully you find some unique value to it and easy to use. If not, check the http://dropsauce.com/faq If it becomes successful, great, I'll continue…
What it does
In the maker’s words, at launch
Hey all, Well after months of hard work (and even more months of dreaming about doing this), I've finally got around to finishing something I've started. :D http://dropsauce.com It's a file upload service where you upload your files into named drops. Sure, this is pretty much similar to some sites you may have seen before and although the internet is saturated with upload services, I still made this more as a learning experience for myself. Hopefully you find some unique value to it and easy to use. If not, check the http://dropsauce.com/faq If it becomes successful, great, I'll continue improving on it. If not, ah well, it was a great learning experience and I'll keep it around for a while. I'm no star web programmer but I think I've done a pretty decent job with this (so far). All comments and feedback welcome. Hopefully the site doesn't get taken down in the next few days. :) Enjoy.
Does the same job

Hey fellow HN-ers, I'd like to ask HN about my latest startup: SocialFolders. We take a Dropbox-like approach to managing your content on your social networks by mirroring all the content you have on these networks in folders on your computer. Moving this content around, between folders or between services, is mirrored in the all-mighty "cloud" (ugh, I hate this word). We'd love to know what you think. We think our approach solves the problem of managing content at scale. We put together a quick 2'30 screencast to show HN how it works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4s2TFsVezZQ If you want…

I made a simple site that allows you to upload files. It requires no sign up and 100% free. The biggest advantage is that it returns you the direct URL to your file. So you can use it to store images for MD-based forum posts. Or put in your site's . I use the Cloudflare R2 storage which offers zero egress fees. So I pay $0 of transfer costs. I added a simple anti-nsfw files check and a simple anti-malware check. Please do not try to break it. Thanks! (>‿◠)

Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…
