What it does
Working on a social media for car people, without the nonsense. Think Instagram's visual appeal + forum depth, focused entirely on automotive culture. No algorithms pushing random content and no BS. Just Cars
Join Whipbase, the modern social forum crossover all about cars and vehicles. Connect with car enthusiasts, share your rides, and discover automotive content.
Join early and help shape Whipbase. We’re building this with the community — not a boardroom full of suits who’ve never changed their own oil. Share your builds, track progress, and get feedback from people who actually wrench — not influencers. Ask questions, upvote fixes that actually work, and crowdsource solutions when that check engine light won’t quit. Document every mod, timeline your builds, and show off your rides — minus the algorithm and fake engagement. Find trusted shops, tuners, and suppliers. Products and services backed by real world showcase! No algorithm garbage. See what you want, when you want. Real content, in real order. We are working on more exciting features! The site hit #1 on HN about a year ago. Got enough traffic that I turned it into a proper API. What's there: - REST API — 35k products, manually filterable by category, free key, 60 req/min - CLI — npx anycrap random -c food - faker.js plugin — bundled, no API call, works offline - HuggingFace dataset — full 35k rows for ML/training https://anycrap.shop/developers

By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
