What it does

One tree, ranked by one thing: what you bid. Bids start at $1, the highest bid sits at the crown, and nobody ever gets removed.

Everything below is the whole mechanism, with nothing held back. Listings are ordered by their current bid, highest first. That is the only ranking signal. There is no engagement score, no recency boost, no editorial curation, and no paid tier that quietly overrides it. A listing's size and its place on the tree are derived from its rank, so nothing can look more important than it paid to be. If two listings hold the same bid, the one that reached that amount first ranks higher. A new bid never jumps an existing bid of equal value, which is why taking a position requires strictly beating it. A position on the board. Nothing else.
