In plain words

Xikipedia presents Wikipedia content in a scrollable social media feed format. Launched in February 2026, the platform transforms traditional encyclopedia articles into bite-sized, vertically-scrollable posts similar to mainstream social networks. It serves users who want to learn from Wikipedia's vast knowledge base while engaging with content in a modern, fast-paced interface. The product makes educational material accessible through a familiar, doomscrolling experience rather than traditional article browsing.

From the sources

Xikipedia is a pseudo social media feed that algorithmically shows you content from Simple Wikipedia . It is made as a demonstration of how even a basic non-ML algorithm with no data from other users can quickly learn what you engage with to suggest you more similar content. The algorithm runs locally and no data leaves your device. Once Xikipedia has loaded, it is available fully offline, and you can even install it as an app by clicking the install button. Source code on GitHub , discuss on fedi , bluesky , or twitter . Note to iOS users: Apple arbitrarily limits the amount of memory a site can use, which means it's possible this site will crash before the loading finishes. I have no way…from xikipedia.org

Hey - I've been playing with LLMs since GPT-2 and recently experimented with fully generative UIs where the HTML/Canvas are generated just-in-time. Every post on the feed( on slop/duck/storytime) you see is streamed and generated just-in-time with HTML and into a Canvas with Gemini 3 Flash. Comments and DMs are bidirectionally linked with a Cloudflare Workers Durable Object which is why they feel so fast. Every generated post is saved into a DO SQLite which is then served into the "Following" feed so it can be served quicker. This was inspired by Wikitok, a VSCode Extension I…

  • Hello my name is Ben Ward for the past 3 years I have been remastering the financial game Wall Street Raider created by Michael Jenkins originally on DOS in 1986. It has been a rough journey but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just recently redid the website and thought maybe the full story of how this project came to be would interest you all. Thank you for reading.
