Writ.ly – Easy online Markdown editor
I absolutely love tldraw; it's a fascinating tool I use every day. And Bear Editor? Can't imagine my life without it. So, I set out to blend the best of both worlds as a toy project :3 I've also modularized the editor (https://github.com/writly/writly) as a React Component. Feel free to give it a try!

The editor is built as a modularized React Component, making it available for developers to integrate into their own projects. An open-source, collaborative, WYSIWYG Markdown editor2023 · editor.vrite.io · ▲460Inspired by the design and UI/UX of apps like Notion, and utility of open-source apps like StackEdit, I decided to create a minimalistic, local-only WYSIWYG Markdown editor. Some features worth highlighting: - Monaco editor and Prettier integration for code snippets - Tables (apparently the holy grail of WYSIWYG editing) - Embeds (for CodePen, CodeSandbox and YouTube, most useful for HTML or JSON exports) - Accepts Markdown paste-in, and "exports"/generates HTML, Markdown and JSON outputs - Collaboration (with real-time awareness and initial commenting system, available only when…

- WAWritemark, a dependency free web component for inline Markdown editingJul 2026 · ▲53
I like writing Markdown, but do not like writing it inside a plain textarea. I wanted something I could use anywhere by dropping in a single web component: ``` ``` That became Writemark. It renders Markdown while you write, but Markdown remains the value you read, store, and submit. It also has source, split, and preview modes, along with slash commands, tables, task lists, code blocks, native form support, and an API for adding your own controls. There are no runtime dependencies and no required framework or built in toolbar. It is fully vibecoded. The process was very iterative. I knocked…
Ephe – A minimalist open-source Markdown paper for today2025 · github.com · ▲143Hi HN, I built Ephe, open-source markdown paper for daily todos and thoughts. No sign-up, no ads, no subscriptions, no AI. ## Why I made this We have plenty of Markdown editors. And too many overwhelming to-do apps. But few tools combine both in a way that’s lightweight and focused. I thought that all I need is a single page to organize today. So I built Ephe. It uses CodeMirror v6, React(v19, React Compiler) and Vite with rolldown. ## What makes it different “Ephe” comes from ephemeral. The main goal is to organize what you need to do today. It isn’t for teams. It’s a quiet space for your…

Talanoa▲343Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
