Write Better Assistant

What it does

Write Better Assistant fixes selected text right where you type. Select text in Gmail, Slack, LinkedIn, Notion, ChatGPT, or most browser fields, then click an action from the floating toolbar. It replaces the text in place, so there is no sidebar, tab switch, or copy-paste loop. It helps with grammar, tone, email drafts, shortening, expanding, translation, case changes, and cleaner AI prompts. Selected text is sent only when you trigger an action, and rewrite history stays on your device.

  I got frustrated with Gmail's lack of customization, and built an extension for myself. It doesn't do much other than modify how Gmail is displayed in Chrome.
