XERA

AI that automates ops for professional services

What it does

XERA is an AI assistant for accounting firms, law offices, real estate and marketing agencies. Your team loses 15-25 hours/week chasing documents, answering repetitive client questions and tracking deadlines manually. XERA fixes this: • Clients upload docs from phone (auto OCR) • Detects missing files and requests them • Answers client queries 24/7 automatically • Alerts on upcoming tax deadlines • Integrates with A3, Pipedrive, Google Drive → 15-20 hours/week saved. ROI from month one.

We built AI agents that reduce mortgage processing from 18 days to 3–5Mar 2026 · app.simplai.ai · ▲7

Most mortgage processing delays aren’t due to risk — they’re due to manual workflows. We’ve been working on SimplAI, an AI-driven system designed for banking and financial services, starting with mortgage operations. The problem we kept seeing: 15–22 day processing timelines Heavy manual document handling (500+ pages per loan) Repetitive data entry + verification loops Underwriters spending hours on non-decision work So we built a set of AI agents that handle the operational layer: Document AI (IDP) → classifies + extracts data from loan docs in minutes Income analysis models → parse tax…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

  • Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…
