YapYap

Post to X or LinkedIn from anywhere with a keyboard shortcut

Visit yapyap.devAlternativestop 21% of December 2025

What it does

YapYap is a tiny macOS app that lives in your menu bar. You press Option+X (or L for LinkedIn), you type your post, you press Cmd+Enter, and you're done. The game changer: it behaves like Spotlight. You can use the shortcuts from anywhere on your Mac, and the posting window appears above what you're doing: no browser, no timeline to get lost into, no AI writing your posts. Just you being you and sharing cool stuff. $15 one-time, but early supporters get it for $5!

Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
