What it does
Hey there! I’m Simon — your friendly Québecois buddy who talks like a real person. Whether you need to chat, vent, or get help with UX/UI ideas, I’ve got your back. I naturally speak in Québec French (a bit of joual), Welcome to my little corner.

I built a Tamagotchi that teaches French numbers2025 · apps.apple.com · ▲5Hey HN! Halfway through moving to Canada and whilst my conversational French gets me by, I'm absolutely rubbish when someone rattles off phone numbers at full speed (quatre-vingt-dix-neuf anyone?). So I built a virtual pet that thrives on correctly answered number challenges. 20-second drills throughout the day: get them right and Lexie grows, get them wrong and it gets a bit sad (but never dies, this isn't the 90s). Speak, type, or tap your answers. Would love any feedback/bugreports. Or just rant about how the Belgians sensibly say "nonante-neuf" whilst we're stuck with…
Context Compass2025 · chromewebstore.google.com · ▲16I built a small Chrome extension for people who write long conversations in Claude and don’t want to unexpectedly hit the 200,000-token limit. Context Compass automatically counts words and estimates token usage as you write. It updates in real time, gives you a visible percentage bar, and helps power users manage sprawling chats without losing work or flow. I built it because I kept getting the “max context” error and realized there was no way to track usage in Claude. No signups, no tracking, just a simple install. Would love any feedback or ideas for improvements. Thanks!

- RCRespeakable.com – A good AI Language Tutor2024 · respeakable.com · ▲5
Hi HN, We’ve just launched v1 of Respeakable, an AI-enhanced language tutor. We have two German lessons (Level A2, beginner to complete beginner) designed by a language-teacher friend of ours – feel free to try it out and give any feedback. We (lschneider and I) have been experimenting with learning languages (specifically French) using different vocabulary apps and tools. The issue is that apps like Duolingo are after your attention (their motto is “test everything”) rather than teaching you a language and are therefore hyper gamified and too easy – all about hijacking your dopamine system.…

Tapflow 2.0▲1,125We built Tapflow for devs, designers, PMs, and tech folks who’ve been sitting on internal docs, templates, and systems — but never productized them. Upload a PDF, notes, or workshop deck, and Tapflow drafts a structured product (with chapters, teaser and pricing plans). It’s good for AI kits, onboarding guides, design systems, and frameworks. You can sell through Stripe, LemonSqueezy, or PayPal. Real-time collaboration is in early beta. No site builder, no LMS — clean design and just focused tools to ship. Fully bootstrapped and just launched on PH today →…
