What it does
I couldn't stop scrolling Instagram but I can't delete it — friends, group chats, event invites are all there. So I built Zen Social. It's an iOS app that opens Instagram in a filtered browser and removes the stuff that keeps you scrolling: Reels completely blocked Suggested posts replaced with fun facts and quotes Ads filtered out Messages, stories, your real feed all work normal My screen time dropped like crazy. The feed just runs out of content now because the algorithm stuff is gone.

I kept deleting and redownloading Instagram because I couldn't stop watching Reels but needed the app for DMs. Tried screen time limits, just overrode them. So I built this. Dull loads Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and X and filters out short-form content with a mix of CSS and JS injection. MutationObserver handles anything that lazy-loads after the page renders, which is most of the annoying stuff since these platforms love to load content dynamically.
