ZoneMap.live

I built this because I kept needing to answer "when is 3pm EST for my teammate in Singapore" and none of the existing tools felt right for me - they're mostly lists. I wanted a map where time differences are spatially obvious. A few things that were technically interesting to build: The day/night terminator. It's not just a shaded half-sphere. I implemented a simplified USNO solar declination algorithm, computing the subsolar point for a given UTC timestamp, then tracing the great-circle terminator and sampling which side each pixel falls on. It renders pixel-by-pixel onto a Canvas…

What it does

Tired of ad-heavy timezone tools from 2005? ZoneMap is a free, modern world clock with a live day/night map. Drag it left or right to travel through time. Search 33,000+ cities, see working hours overlap instantly, and share your view via URL. No account, no ads, support PWA - just open and go.

Free world clock and timezone converter. Search 33,000+ cities, compare multiple timezones side-by-side, find team meeting overlap, and visualize the day/night boundary on a live world map. No account required.

ZoneMap is a free world clock and timezone converter. Compare real-time clocks across multiple cities simultaneously on an interactive world map with a live day/night boundary. No account required — works instantly in any browser. Tokyo is in Japan Standard Time (JST, UTC+9). Japan does not observe daylight saving time. Visit ZoneMap to see the exact current time in Tokyo alongside any other city. London observes GMT (UTC+0) in winter and BST (UTC+1) in summer. ZoneMap shows the current London time with automatic DST switching. New York is typically 5 hours behind London (EST vs GMT) or 4 hours behind during summer (EDT vs BST). Add both cities to ZoneMap and drag the timeline to any time…from zonemap.live

I kept running into this: timer on my laptop, alarm on my phone, timezone / discord timestamp conversion app in a separate tab. Switching between them was a hassle and I wanted to be able to set them up and manage really fast anywhere I was. So I built Time Keep, it puts world clocks, timers, alarms, countdowns, a stopwatch, breaks, a sleep planner, Discord timestamps, and more into one always open place. Works without an account or signup. All tools are fully functional immediately. Sign in to save your data across sessions. Pro adds live cross-device sync. Shared countdown links show…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

  • Hello my name is Ben Ward for the past 3 years I have been remastering the financial game Wall Street Raider created by Michael Jenkins originally on DOS in 1986. It has been a rough journey but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just recently redid the website and thought maybe the full story of how this project came to be would interest you all. Thank you for reading.
