I was trying to build a website for sharing robotics projects and realized the coolest way to visualize a robot is in 3D. I could only find a few open-source projects that did this, but each was for a specific environment (think MJCF vs URDF vs USD) and some were damn hard to run. My weekend hack project was to put together a small web app for sharing links in the spirit of memepool.com. It uses a bookmarklet to let people clip interesting articles to share while reading and uses a subset of markdown to add links and blockquotes to posts. I came up with the idea for this site a couple weeks ago and spent a few days hacking together an MVP. The basic premise is that there are two opposing issues surrounding web comics: sharing & copyright infringement. Sites like Pinterest make it easy to share comics, but people share the comics in full with no requirement to link to the original source.
