This is a native iOS application for Bluesky built entirely in Swift. It leverages current iOS APIs and incorporates Liquid Glass Design language for its interface. Superapp▲498Hi HN We're Vitalik (Ex-Bolt) and Stas (Ex-Grammarly, Wix) We build a MacOS vibecoding tool for native Swift iOS apps, that replaces Xcode for non-developers. Features: - Project Creation agent makes a real Xcode project in the background. - Design Agent creates design system using SwiftUI (supports glassmorphism ) - Coding Agent is quite efficient with caching and parallel tool calls. - The app gets build on your mac using iOS simulator and runtime, any bugs are passed back to coding agent. Requirements: - You still need an Xcode on your machine, but don't need to open it. Website:…

We built SwiftAI, an open-source Swift library that lets you use Apple’s on-device LLMs when available (Apple opened access in June), and fall back to a cloud model when they aren’t available — all without duplicating code. SwiftAI gives you: - A single, model-agnostic API - An agent/tool loop - Strongly-typed structured outputs - Optional chat state Backstory: We started experimenting with Apple’s local models because they’re free (no API calls), private, and work offline. The problem: not all devices support them (older iPhones, Apple Intelligence disabled, low battery, etc.). That…

Daft Music▲276Some time ago I moved from Spotify to Apple Music for a few reasons. As someone who builds iOS and macOS apps, I quickly noticed how rough the Apple Music experience felt on Mac. It just wasn’t fun to use. So I decided to challenge myself and see if it was possible to build a full, complex, and performant Apple Music client using SwiftUI. At first, it went surprisingly well. SwiftUI made it easy to build out the main structure and experiment quickly. The UI came together nicely, and it was exciting to see how modern and flexible the framework could be. But the deeper I went, the more cracks…

I’ve been messing around with Bluesky for a while, and one thing I really missed was a proper way to browse discussions in a structured, Reddit-like way specially myself being daily reddit user. So, I ended up building a Reddit-like client for Bluesky that scratches that itch: Threadsky.app It pulls in trending topics, lets you explore conversations with a threaded view (so no more getting lost in replies), and even allows users to create channels with customizations, basically, like subreddits but on Bluesky. That said, this is still pretty barebones, and there’s a lot to improve. I really…

I read HN on my phone every day and never really settled on a reader, so I wrote my own and finally tidied it up enough to put out there. It's plain SwiftUI with no third-party dependencies. A few things I spent the most time on: Comments are parsed and drawn as native text instead of being dumped into a web view. Links, italics, quotes and code blocks behave like the rest of the OS, text selection works, and threads collapse instantly. The whole comment tree comes back from the Algolia API in a single request, which felt a lot nicer than walking the Firebase API node by node. Accessibility.…
