Hi everyone, I've been "funemployed" for a few months and with all that free time and idle hands I wrote a full web framework (think Rails, not Flask) for Rust. It's boring old MVC, has its own ORM, templates, background jobs, auth, websockets, migrations and more. Hello! I got quite some feedback on a web server I'm building, so I'm rewriting the server to be faster and easier to use. I (and maybe some other contributors?) have optimized the web server performance, especially for static file serving and reverse proxying (the last use case I optimized for very recently). I also picked a different configuration format and specification, what I believe is easier to write. Hey all, wanted to share my recent weekend hack project. I wanted to improve upon the existing space for looking up information about IP addresses and ASNs. The backend is written in Rust and pulls BGP data every 8 hours from the RIPE RIS project to build up a routing table and also adds geolocation information. The frontend is using React and Tailwind. I built this last year but never posted it anywhere, but now with Reddit hiatus it seems like the right time to give it a shot. The main goal of zsync is to foster high quality content and discussion. That's it. If it can't accomplish that, then to me it is a failure. Hi HN, This is a site where users can submit content and the shortest SHA256 value of nonce+content among them will make the site display the content. Very basic, without a blockchain.
