Recently, I found myself having to read the book "C++ primer" and I just couldn't do it. It all started when we were building a RAG solution for a company that deals with regulatory agencies. All of their data was in PDFs, and as it is apparently with lawyers, they like to print and scan documents to make it hard on their counterparts. Hi HN, We've been building out a PDF viewer to help support various tasks in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction space. We use it primarily for steel estimation right now, but are exploring how it might be useful across other engineering disciplines! From a tech perspective, the AI PDF viewers we've ran into use mostly PDF metadata/text, so they dont work well on engineering schematics which are mostly visual. Hi all, I threw together a small prototype I am calling “Notepad.ai”. A new take on UIs for interacting with LLMs. While I enjoy using LLM’s in the chat format I wanted to see what it would be like to do it in a more long form style.
