I'm building a journal app in Kotlin Multiplatform and for this purpose I have created a zoomable timeline interface. This is a side-project where I reuse the timeline interface to display 4 million events imported from Wikipedia / Wikidata, scored using PageRank. There is more information on the about page. If you're interested in the stack: I use Kotlin Multiplatform extensively, with Compose Multiplatform for the UI, communicates with the backend using Kotlinx-RPC and behind the hood a simple Postgres database on a Hetzner machine.

When I read papers, I have to jump between multiple tabs to find the dataset, code, videos, peer reviews, and so on. I tried to fix this with this project. It started as a project just for papers on arXiv, but after its initial success on Twitter (got like 1.9k views: the most I have gotten for a post), I have now expanded it to include other openly available papers from PubMed Central, bioRxiv, medRxiv, and eLife. Hi! This is a visualization I've always wanted but never quite found. It's a navigable map of the Wikipedia link graph structure, with search and shortest-path finding. Offline, I parsed the May 2026 English Wikipedia full-text dump into a directed graph, used cuGraph on a GPU to run PageRank, Leiden clustering, and ForceAtlas2 for the layout. The graph is free to explore and requires no registration. SynapTale builds a model of a story as a temporal graph made up of nodes (entities) and edges (their actions and relationships). The graph is not a visualization of the wiki. The wiki, timelines, relationship histories, and analytics are projections of the graph.
