24 alternatives to Agent Heroes

Hi community :) I love creating pictures and video on socials using things like ChatGPT and Mid-journey and convert it to video on Replicate and Fal. But I realized it's super time consuming So I created a AgentHeroes, a repository to train models, generate pictures, video and schedule it on social media. Not sure if it's something anybody needs so happy for feedback. Of course a star would be awesome too *Here is what you can do:* * Connect different services like Fal, Replicate, ChatGPT, Runway, etc. * Train images based on models you upload or using models that create characters. *…

Today we’re excited to introduce AgentSea, a private AI chat built for sensitive work. When you use closed-source AI models, your data can: – be stored – pulled into training pipelines – shared with third parties That might be fine if you’re making memes or drafting LinkedIn posts. But it becomes a serious risk when you’re pasting contracts, health info, financial data, or business secrets. That’s why we built AgentSea. In Secure Mode, all chats run on open-source models or models hosted on our own servers. Your data never leaves, is never used for training, and is never leaked. Agentsea…

Hi HN community! We want to share AI-town, a deployable starter kit for building and customizing your own version of AI simulation - a virtual town where AI characters live, chat and socialize. Inspired by great work from the Stanford Generative Agent paper (https://arxiv.org/abs/2304.03442). A few features: - Includes a convex.dev backed server-side game engine that handles global state - Multiplayer ready. Deployment ready - 100% Typescript - Easily customizable. You can fork it, change character memories, add new sprites/tiles and you have a custom AI simulation…

Hi HN, We’re a two‑person team (Anika & Zeeshaan) and we’ve spent the last 8 months building The Influencer AI: https://www.theinfluencer.ai What it does: Spin up a consistent AI persona from either a handful of trait sliders or ~10 photos of a real person (yourself, a model, a client). Use that same "AI influencer" to generate: - photos & virtual try‑ons - talking‑head video reels (image‑to‑video + voice) -ad creatives in any pose, setting or style. All assets come with full commercial rights. How it works under the hood: Frontend: Next.js 15 (static where possible) Backend /…

A few weeks ago I realized i was spending way too much time trying to write quality posts for Twitter. So I decided to look into scheduling tools which could help me automate my writing. I tried a few, but none of them satisfied me. Either the interface was way too complicated or the features i wanted were just not there. Finally, after some time I gave up… and instead I decided to just do it! I hacked up a quick prototype in a weekend. Tried it out - it worked!! Mostly.. I fixed some bugs, made a nice UI, and now (3 weeks later) I think I built one of the nicest scheduling tools out there.

Hey HN, This is my take on the agent harness. Everything on an isometric map. Agents are grouped into "buildings" that run in a sequence or a loop; e.g., the CodeForge has an agent that writes a PRD, another one that implements, and a third that reviews. Everything is customizable, you build your own buildings/teams however you want. It's a Tauri app, really light (about 8x less energy than the closest competitor I benchmarked, so it actually runs from a coffee shop on battery). It's macOS only for now, but ping me if you are willing to test the Windows or Linux version. I've been…

    Replicas▲239

Hey HN! I'm Connor, creator of Replicas. I'm a heavy Codex/Claude Code user, and I wanted to hand off tasks to agents like I would to an engineer - kick something off before work, let it scaffold while I'm at lunch, even come back to a ready PR. The problem: existing alternatives use workspace VMs that are black boxes. I have no access to any of them - they can't run tests, read logs, or use tools like the Playwright MCP (which I use to verify agents actually fixed what they claim to fix). Replicas gives agents real cloud workspaces where they can: - Run your test suite and read the…

Hey HN, we're the co-founders of LemonSlice (try our HN playground here: https://lemonslice.com/hn). We train interactive avatar video models. Our API lets you upload a photo and immediately jump into a FaceTime-style call with that character. Here's a demo: https://www.loom.com/share/941577113141418e80d2834c83a5a0a9 Chatbots are everywhere and voice AI has taken off, but we believe video avatars will be the most common form factor for conversational AI. Most people would rather watch something than read it. The problem is that generating video in real-time…

Hi HN, I’m Michael, I built AgentGrid with my friend Souren because we were tired of losing our coding sessions and couldn't keep track of what was actually being built across our many projects. Our approach was to use an infinite canvas desktop app for the TUIs we already know and love, mainly claude + codex. We drew inspiration from Figma and Railway. Overtime we added image nodes, notes, terminals, coding editors, source control, etc. I wasn't sure about it at first. It took me a month to give the first version Souren built a real try. What got me was an Apple System Update I've been…

one-off image/video generation is easy, but creating a cohesive story with consistent characters and locations across multiple scenes is difficult. So I am building flickspeed.ai which provides a infinite canvas with image/video/audio nodes where you can create base characters and then use it across multiple scenes. there is also an agent which assist in writing prompts Feedback, bugs, and suggestions are all welcome.

Hello HN! I’m excited to share PixelDojo.ai, an all-in-one generative AI studio for creators. I built PixelDojo to be a one-stop platform where you can generate images, create short videos, and even train custom AI models (LoRA fine-tunes) from your own images. The idea came about because the AI creative process felt fragmented. 10 months ago I set off on a journey to create the ultimate AI playground. A place where cutting-edge image-generation tools are easily accessible. My goal was to bring all the latest AI creativity tools under one roof so that anyone, even a “noob” with no prior…

    PostOwl▲14

Hi HN, I've been using LLMs to help draft replies and content, but I hit a wall: the "default" voice of standard models is painfully obvious. It’s always too cheerful, uses emojis incorrectly, and loves words like "delve" and "testament." I realized I was spending more time editing the AI's output to sound like me than it would take to just write the thing myself. So I built PostOwl to solve the "Style Alignment" problem. How it works: Instead of a generic wrapper, it uses your previous posting history to build a style profile. When you generate a reply, it dynamically injects your specific…

Hey HN. I built an AI agent harness over the past few months and I'm open sourcing it today. Some context on why. I've been building with Claude Code daily using this harness. It orchestrates multiple AI agents as a team, with a dashboard, chat, kanban board, the works. I used it to build a full SaaS product (MyUpMonitor, https://myupmonitor.com) in about 24 hours of focused coding. Then yesterday Anthropic announced Mythos and decided to keep it behind closed doors. Meanwhile I'm paying for Claude and I can't access their best model. I don't think that is nice at all... So I'm…

Hi HN, We're making a new social network for AI-generated videos. While AI films are still a few years away, the niche of re-lipsynced AI videos is rampant and perhaps the fastest growing form of AI-generated content. Re-dubbed TV shows and movies are doing 10s of millions of views and have become their own new meme-format. In the last 7 days, videos made on the app did 1.1m views! We made eggnog.ai/remix for this reason. You can use the product to make funny videos to send to friends (cartoon remixes take < 20s to make) and live-action take 1-2 minutes (no sign-up required to make…

I'm a solo founder building AMA2, a messaging runtime made for AI agents. This is my first Show HN, so I'd really appreciate your feedback. What brought me this idea: At first, I was building an AI agent for solo creators that knows everything about you and can do business chore on your behalf. When I tried to plug it into normal chat tools like Telegram, Discord, Slack... , they all felt wrong for agents: 1. They don't care about an agent's context. To follow a thread, the agent has to pull the whole history every time. 2. Giving each agent its own account is painful. If you have (or will…

I built a tool to roast landing pages with AI agents. I was gathering feedback from watching landing page roast videos, and figured out I could prompt LLMs to analyse a screenshot and roast based on the same criteria. It's not 100% accurate yet, but it has been really insightful when I've tested it on my own websites. Let me know what you think!

Hi HN! It’s been over a month since gpt-realtime-2 is available but I haven’t seen many tools created with it yet. I think it is a very underrated (and fun!) model that you can do a lot of cool stuff with. I created a funny tool where you can embed a “mascot” on your website that you can talk to. It crawls the site and has all the main pages + sections in context. So it can scroll, navigate pages and open FAQ’s. I might add more functionality later but I want to get some other people to try it first! Please let me know if you have any feedback or comments on the site/positioning. Thanks…

Hey HN, I’m Chris, a solo dev in Melbourne AU. For the past month I've been spending my after work hours building AgentVisa. I'm both excited (and admittedly nervous) to be sharing it with you all today. I've been spending a lot of time thinking about the future of AI agents and the more I experimented, the more I realized I was building on a fragile foundation. How do we build trust into these systems? How do we know what our agents are doing, and who gave them permission? My long-term vision is to give developers an "Agent Atlas" - a clear map of their agentic workforce, showing where…
