Much of my work right now involves complex, long-running, multi-agentic teams of agents. I kept running into the same problem: “How do I keep these guys in line?” Rules weren’t cutting it, and we needed a scalable, agentic-native STANDARD I could count on. There wasn’t one. So I built one. Here are two open-source protocols that extend A2A, granting AI agents behavioral contracts and runtime integrity monitoring: - Agent Alignment Protocol (AAP): What an agent can do / has done. - Agent Integrity Protocol (AIP): What an agent is thinking about doing / is allowed to do. The problem:…

This project (Agents Observe) started as an exploration into building automation harnesses around claude code. I needed a way to see exactly what teams of agents were doing in realtime and to filter and search their output. A few interesting learnings from building and using this: - Claude code hooks are blocking - performance degrades rapidly if you have a lot of plugins that use hooks - Hooks provide a lot more useful info than OTEL data - Claude's jsonl files provide the full picture - Lifecycle management of MCP processes started by plugins is a bit kludgy at best The biggest takeaway is…

On January 11th, Google and Shopify announced the Universal Commerce Protocol (ucp.dev). It's an open standard that lets any application query products across e-commerce platforms without needing APIs, integrations, or middlemen. AskUCP is one of the first applications built on it. Right now, if you want to buy something online, you have to know which store sells it. You go to Amazon, or you go to a Shopify store, or you go to Etsy. Each one has its own search, its own interface, its own checkout. The experience is fragmented because the infrastructure is siloed. UCP changes this at the…

XSDR is a unified pipeline for monitoring activity on X and the web. I built it because I wanted my agent to do things based on real-time events that were taking place instead of polling the web or scheduling cron jobs. With XSDR, you can trigger agentic loops based on real-time events. All you need is an API key, a webhook that can receive POST requests, and an idea of what you’re looking for. It currently supports X and Firehose (aka a persistent web crawler).

Background: I've been working on agentic guardrails because agents act in expensive/terrible ways and something needs to be able to say "Maybe don't do that" to the agents, but guardrails are almost impossible to enforce with the current way things are built. Context: We keep running into so many problems/limitations today with MCP. It was created so that agents have context on how to act in the world, it wasn't designed to become THE standard rails for agentic behavior. We keep tacking things on to it trying to improve it, but it needs to die a SOAP death so REST can rise in it's…
