Hi All This is my personal project that is an IDE and AI assistant for creating tailwind components and pages. You can chat to create designs, then make small edits yourself, and continue chatting to refine them. I am always working to improve the UX. I have a time limited demo page here: https://langcss.com/demo Please let me know what you think! Feedback is welcome. Tech wise, this just uses NextJS (Hosted on Docker) and Azure Open AI.

Hey HN! I'm Andrew, one of the creators of Glass, a copilot for Next.js and React developers. Glass appears as a chat bar on your locally running Next.js server, and you can tell it to make changes like "build a dashboard" or "add a login button". Glass makes the changes to your sourcecode in real-time. Our goal with Glass is to automate away the easy but slow parts of frontend development, like locating the right file to edit, writing tailwind by trial-and-error, and copy-pasting boilerplate from Claude and other tools. We want to let you do all the tedious work entirely from your browser.…

Hello everyone, For the past several months, I have been building multiple React/TailwindCSS components for my projects. I have decided to bundle and document them so that I can share them with the community. The entire UI kit is written in Typescript on top of the class-variance-authority library. Although I am already using these components in production, the project is still in beta since it lacks a full test suite and dark mode. Please feel free to take a look and provide feedback if you have a moment to spare. Thank you!

I’ve been experimenting with embedding an Claude Code/Cursor-style coding agent directly into the browser. At a high level, the agent generates and maintains userscripts and CSS that are re-applied on page load. Rather than just editing DOM via JS in console the agent is treating the page, and the DOM as a file. The models are often trained in RL sandboxes with full access to the filesystem and bash, so they are really good at using it. So to make the agent behave well, I've simulated this environment. The whole state of a page and scripts is implemented as a virtual filesystem hacked…

While Cursor has already revolutionized coding, you can still configure it to perform even better based on your language and framework. That's why we created Cursor Directory, a collection of the best cursor rules for your framework and language from the community. It's fully open source and you can contribute to it by submitting your own rules. Just copy and add a .cursorrules file to your project root! Let me know what you think!

The answer is simple: the more "prescriptive" you are with instructions for Claude, the worse your output. The reason is that Claude tries to pattern match - it's been trained on thousands of safe UI patterns, which is why when you ask for "a modern dashboard" it doesn't really think about the problem space; it just defaults to whatever safe design pattern it can whip up at the time. I've been working on a Claude Code skill to combat generic UI output, and I tried different approaches like being very detailed with my personal visual style, e.g., the type of alpha values to use for borders,…
