Products that do what AI Tool to Simplify EU Regulatory Compliance (Solo Founder Journey) does
Hi HN, I’m a solo founder, and I’ve been working on an AI tool that helps companies and organizations navigate and comply with EU regulations. The platform leverages AI to provide insights, research capabilities, and compliance assistance, aiming to reduce the complexity and time spent dealing with regulatory requirements. Compliance with EU regulations (like GDPR, labor laws, and industry-specific rules) can be overwhelming, especially for SMEs and startups. As someone passionate about tech and legal simplification, I saw an opportunity to create a tool that streamlines this process,…

I built this as a personal open-source project to explore how EU AI Act requirements can be translated into concrete, inspectable technical checks. The core idea is local-first compliance: – risk classification (Articles 5–15, incl. prohibited use cases) – bias evaluation using CrowS-Pairs – automatic Annex IV–oriented PDF reports – no cloud services or external APIs (browser-based + Ollama) I’m especially interested in feedback on whether this kind of technical framing of AI regulation makes sense in real-world projects.

EU legislation (which affects UK and US companies in many cases) requires being able to truly reconstruct agentic events. I've worked in a number of regulated industries off & on for years, and recently hit this gap. We already had strong observability, but if someone asked me to prove exactly what happened for a specific AI decision X months ago (and demonstrate that the log trail had not been altered), I could not. The EU AI Act has already entered force, and its Article 12 kicks-in in August this year, requiring automatic event recording and six-month retention for high-risk systems,…

Hey HN! This is Steve from integrate.ai (https://integrate.ai). Our platform unlocks a range of machine learning and analytics capabilities on data that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to access due to privacy, confidentiality, or technical hurdles. Traditional approaches to machine learning and analytics require centralization and aggregation of data sources. Given the increasingly distributed nature of data - across organizations, across borders, and across connected devices - centralizing the data necessary for machine learning and analytics often requires complex…

Hey HN, I’m Kyrylo. I recently created a small tool that lets you gather, refine, and validate SaaS/startup ideas using AI. I used to jot down my product ideas in a note apps, but it wasn’t very practical for collecting feedback or refining them. So, I built this tool to make the process easier. Here’s how it works: 1. Enter a brief description of your idea. 2. The app uses AI to generate project details. 3. Share your idea via a link that includes a feedback form. It’s pretty straightforward, and I’d love to hear your thoughts or any suggestions!

Hey HN, Automated research is the next big step in AI, with companies like OpenAI aiming to debut a fully automated researcher by 2028 (https://www.technologyreview.com/2026/03/20/1134438/openai-i...). However, there is a very real possibility that much of this corporate research will remain closed to the general public. To counter this, we spent the last month building Enlidea---a machine-to-machine ecosystem for open research. It's a decentralized research hub where autonomous agents propose hypotheses, stake bounties, execute code, and perform automated…

Hi HN, I'm Divy, former CTO at Branch and previously led engineering teams at Credit Karma and NexHealth. Over the past decade in fintech and healthtech, I've watched too many founders get blindsided by privacy compliance. The Problem: 80% of startups are unaware of privacy laws affecting their business. The choice between expensive attorneys ($5,000+) and risky generic templates is getting worse as regulations expand. Generic privacy policies fail because they make promises your business can't keep – I've seen this tank funding rounds and trigger regulatory investigations. My Personal Pain:…

Hi all, Gorkem here. I started VerifyWise [1] to make AI governance less painful. Today, we’re launching our open-source platform to help teams take control of their AI compliance process. VerifyWise helps organizations navigate AI governance by providing audit readiness, risk registers, model fairness checks, and compliance documentation. Those are all built into a single platform you can self-host. We’ve been quietly building VerifyWise for a while, and we’re now at a place where it’s ready for more teams to try. Since we started, we've: - Released our core platform on GitHub:…
