Hey Folks! I've been building an open source benchmark for measuring local LLM performance on your own hardware. The benchmarking tool is a CLI written on top of Llamafile to allow for portability across different hardware setups and operating systems. The website is a database of results from the benchmark, allowing you to explore the performance of different models and hardware configurations. Please give it a try! Any feedback and contribution is much appreciated. I'd love for this to serve as a helpful resource for the local AI community. For more check out: - Website:…

I’ve built MyPCOptimizer, an AI-powered web tool for gamers and creators to analyze their PC hardware specs, detect bottlenecks, and get upgrade recommendations explained in simple language. No signup required – just enter your specs, select a user profile, and see your diagnosis and actionable suggestions. Built with React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Gemini AI. Would love feedback, bug reports, and ideas for making hardware upgrades even smarter or more useful for non-technical users. Try it out: https://www.mypcoptimizer.com/ Thank you!

Built a simple web app that tells you which open-source LLMs will work on your hardware. It auto-detects your specs, shows compatible models from Hugging Face, gives realistic performance estimates (tokens/sec), and recommends quantization settings. You can also manually input specs to see "what if I upgraded my RAM?" Made this after wasting time downloading giant models only to find they crawled on my hardware. Hope it saves you some frustration!

A bit late in the new diskprices-like website trend, but here's my contribution to the ecosystem. The goal here is to get an instant comparison of the laptops on ebay, using mostly 3 metrics of now: CPU benchmark rank, GPU benchmark rank, and price, without having to scroll through the item description or google the PC model. At the moment there are some parsing bugs, and some components that aren't parsed yet. I also quickly run into the ebay rate limit, making it hard to maintain an hour-by-hour listing. Curious to know what you guys think!

Started PC flipping as a hobby (buying used parts, building PCs, and selling them for a small profit). Found that focusing on used parts on eBay gives the best margins - like finding a GPU 20% below market, pairing it with other deals, and selling the complete build locally. I discovered that eBay marketplaces (.com, .de, .co.uk etc.) often have different prices for the same items! Or just completely different items. So I built an eBay price scanner for PC components. It scans listings across different Ebay markets, calculates median prices, and flags anything selling below market (including…
