It started with a pitch jotted down in stream-of-consciousness on a piece of paper. It wasn't a very good pitch. "It was absolutely horrible," says Atlas Reactor executive producer Peter Ju. "I'm terrible at writing." William Cook, the game's lead designer, is not much kinder. "It wasn't a pitch. It wasn't presented clearly as a thing. Pete even wrote it after the fact.
