Sharing an internal tool that accelerated my development work 10-fold, especially with API debugging. Thought fellow developers here might find it useful. As a developer, I often have trouble reproducing errors at the client end. https://intercept.rest lets me debug and monitor API requests and responses. It is similar to the Network tab in Chrome Developer Tools but works for any API: mobile apps, webhooks, frontend etc. After I shared it with a close circle of friends, they found it incredibly useful and even found new use cases, I never imagined. Been a long time lurker here and…

Hi HN, I am the creator of Exfault. I am building autonomous AI agents that find vulnerabilities in Android apps. I have noticed there are growing number of AI native pentesting tools for web apps but very few for mobile or Android. With more mobile apps being shipped quickly due to vibe coding, I wanted to build an AI native security tool specifically for Android apps. Exfault combines static and dynamic analysis with AI agents using tools like adb, jadx, apktool for static analysis and reverse engineering, frida for dynamic analysis, hermes-dec for React native decompilation. The AI agents…

I'm a network engineer that likes to think about the future of the internet and this is what I've built over many nights and weekends. One reputation graph over IPs, ASNs, domains, and entities, exposed as a JSON API. Try it: curl https://api.tunnelmind.ai/v1/check/1.1.1.1 Every answer is a signed receipt with an attestation tier so you can see what was produced and how your agents can use it. The protocol is opensource. Try it out let me know what you think and yes I am still working on the radar section of the site. Also What would make this useful for you?

Hello HN, I am Brian Cardinale, a penetration tester and security researcher at SecureCoders. We have been performing more and more AI based security assessments. We were presented a unique challenge of testing a system where the only interface was voice based, and as much as I like talking on the phone , we decided to create a test harness to facilitate the actual testing in a more systematic way. The technical test harness was the easy part, though. Creating test goals and attack strategies to help facilitate repeated and comprehensive testing became the real challenge. As such, we have…

http://webscanner.tk/quickscan/ Hi! I made this project over the couse of a week to help teach myself more about Django and web app development. I am studying computer security in school and web security is one of my passions. It is a tool that helps web developers ensure that they have implemented helpful security mechanisms like HTTPOnly flags, X-Frame-Options, etc. There are hundreds of tools that offer to scan websites for things like cross-site scripting, mySQL injection, etc. This tool simply looks for information that is available via one or two GET requests (the headers, protocols,…

Hi HN! After several months of work, I'm excited to share ProKZee, a free and open-source network security tool built with Go and React using Wails framework. ProKZee allows developers, security researchers, and penetration testers to intercept, inspect, and modify HTTP/S traffic — similar to tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and Caido — but with a fast native UI, modern UX, and some unique features. https://github.com/al-sultani/prokzee
