This is a service I've built to provide equirectangular cloud maps of the whole Earth, updated every 3 hours, for free. It's based on infrared and visible light data from EUMETSAT, processed to enhance the clouds and try to reduce the impact of surface temperatures on the final image. I built it because it's surprisingly hard to find these kinds of images in a format that's useful to developers and hobbyists. I was building a 3D ISS tracker and wanted to include live clouds but couldn't find anything good, so I got sidetracked, and here we are.

Inspired by the recent justfuckingusetailwind.com, I built a similar "love letter" to the Cloudflare ecosystem. I find myself reaching for Workers, R2, D1, and KV for almost every project lately, so I wanted to capture that sentiment in a single, slightly over-the-top page. I wrote a free book (CC BY license) on software architecture. It classifies architectural patterns / system designs into groups according to their structure, so that each group features a specific set of goals and properties, as structure and function correlate. That results in a kind of inheritance for patterns, making it easy to learn them and even iterate over all the known architectures to analyze their properties. Any feedback and ideas on how to promote the book is warmly welcome!
