Products that do what Ask Deeply, a social game for small talk haters does

I hate small talks, I build a social game to help me deepen my relationships and connect with people beyond the shallow levels. I want your feedback, maybe inspire me with questions you would like to see popping in the game.

Hey HN, I made conversation starter game. Here's how it works: - Choose a theme like "Couples" or "Favorites" - Tap to reveal thought-provoking questions - Take turns answering and discover new things about each other I made ConvoCards because everyone has an interesting story to tell, but these don't often come up in day to day conversations. I also enjoy using them for journaling and self reflection. I hope you enjoy playing and learn something new about someone close to you!

I had an idea for this concept for a while and decided to build a little website around it. It's kind of a silly idea but I'm really curious to see how it plays out. If you're a particularly curious person, be warned. By submitting a payment to the game, you get to see how many other people were curious enough to play. You will be ranked based on your payment amount, and get to discover some interesting insights about the game's dynamics. Hope you like it

Hi HN, My friend and I just launched a vocabulary quiz game. It's a two Player Game where you challenge your opponent with a word and answer their challenge question. Whoever gets the highest score in a round of 5, wins. Currently, words are from Barron's 333 most essential GRE wordlist to help students preparing for the standardized test. You can check out the game at: [Play Store] https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buildmyvoc... or [Hybrid web app in Ionic - Please allow some time to load] https://buildmyvocab.in/wordsgame We would…

Hey everyone! I built a little side project called OpenQuest over the last three weeks, and I'm looking for some feedback to see if it's worth taking further. The idea is simple: it's a place to create a chat room where you can connect with people (a maximum of 8) who have the same goal as you, for a short time (7 days for now). Think of it as a way to stay motivated, hold each other accountable, or simply work together with new people on something specific. Some examples can be: - Following a programming course - Reading a book - Getting back to the gym - Cleaning up your home - Shopping…

I wanted to learn more about RAG implementations, so I built something to solve the constant digging through manuals whenever we play a game. It's fairly simplistic, but actually has worked pretty well for some of these conflicts. Everythings Open Source on GitHub if you're curious (or have ideas), and I'd love to hear feedback from fellow boardgamers!

Hey everyone, I'm Fabio, a very long time lurker here. Today I want to celebrate and share with you, again, a game that I conceived more than 8 years ago. I shared it last week with all its history (if you're curious) [1], but it just stayed in the "shownew" and never reached the main "show" page, hopefully this time it'll do better (:crossed_fingers:)! What changed since last week? Today I've also published the mobile apps for both iOS and Android (last week it was just web), which are also my first mobile apps ever. So I believe it's still a worthwhile post and something to show :) I'd…

After reading the book Getting to Yes, I really want some tool to help me negotiate more efficiently without having to memorize everything principle. You start by putting in interests of each party, then you can explore different functions: how to respond to the other party, explore objective criteria out there or brainstorm more negotiation options. Still working on it! Leave me feedback if you have any suggestions!

Hi HN, For years I’ve missed the feeling of an always-on chatroom without the silos and social overhead of Discord. So I built Together: a single-room, no-signup group chat that you join with one click. No channels, no rules (yet), no onboarding flow. Everyone lands in the same place and can start talking in under a second. Why I made it - Forums and blog comments are great but slow; Discord/Slack feel heavy for casual drop-ins if you aren’t already a member of a community. - I wanted the simplest possible space where ~100 people could idle, share shower thoughts, and keep the…

Hi HN ! I've struggled with anxiety for most of my life. But I was lucky to have a supporting family and friends. Not everyone has this chance. So I made Wiro Talk to help strangers pair up and check on each other. Check it out and tell me what you think. It's an mvp so yes it's using discord at the moment.

Hey everyone, I built this project because I always wanted to try playing D&D but couldn’t find a group of friends or a DM to play with. It’s still early stages and not meant to be a complete replacement for real DMs or IRL sessions, but it’s a good way to dip your toes into DnD or to play on your phone between your IRL sessions. I tried playing D&D with ChatGPT but the overall experience was lacking, so I built this site & Discord bot that has a character sheet tool, better memory management, support for multiplayer, and automatic tracking for things like spells, HP, and encounters. Try it…

Hello HN! I just launched a new social iPhone game called "unun". It's like drawsomething but in a puzzle way. You can also animate your puzzle and message your friend during the game. Would definitely enjoy any feedback so I can make it better! Feel free to check out the demo video and download it from appstore. I recently prototyped a web game for a nonprofit to highlight the dangers of phone addiction, but unfortunately I ended up making a really addictive game instead. :-\ I'm sharing this here mainly to serve as an indicator of what can be achieved early-2026 by a senior dev working with Opus 4.7 over 2 days using genuinely collaborative prompting. (ie plan->feedback->iterate) Hope it provides some inspiration or entertainment - there's a level editor too - maybe Hacker Newsers could share their favourite creations here? PS: If there's enough demand I'm happy to Open Source this (or DM me) -…

Hey HN, I made https://linkians.com which is a game where all the action and state is contained in the url. The game involves taking care of little pets (emojis) that live in your url bar. Kind of like tamagotchi or sims. Feed them, play with them, and watch out for enemies! There's no server, just emojis in the url and client-side logic. Any linkians url using the supported emojis is a valid game state so you can save your game, or type out your own url and send it to a friend. I'd appreciate any feedback.

Hello everyone! I have a hobby project that has become fairly full featured that I figured I would share. The idea of MinimalChat has been to create a project that is a lightweight and dead simple application that can be deployed locally in a few seconds (with docker). While of course also having most of the nice to have features and looking pretty nice. A nice bonus is it a Progressive Web Application so it can be installed like a normal application to your mobile device. It has a full mobile UI. For those using Chrome and Edge you can also locally download, load and host entirely via your…

Hey everyone, ChatGPT recently added a very small but powerful feature - the ability to share your chats! I think it’s a great way to create prototypes and share them, here are a couple of examples: First, [a small talk simulator](https://chat.openai.com/share/1329d8ec-5141-45f9-a2c2-842d4bad7bcc) a game to help you improve your social skills. Second, [a shark tank simulator](https://chat.openai.com/share/48155efe-101b-4662-b41e-c13aa909f017), see if your idea and pitch can get a deal on ABCs hit show! [Here’s my…
