I always wonder what I am flying over on a plane, and beforehand, which side of the plane should I book for the best views. Lookoutwindow.com shows snippets about Points of Interest below, and each has a Wikipedia link that you can read more about. You can save them as favourites also, to read once you land. Currently, covers all routes from Ireland, due to the cost of API access for flight data. Works offline once the route is selected. Hey HN! Pilots everywhere are required to keep a logbook of all their flying hours, aircraft, airports, and so on. Since I track everything digitally (some people still just use paper logbooks!), I put together some data visualizations and a few 3D globes to show my flying history.
