I started a solo software engineering lab earlier this year and wanted a professional foundation for my clients from day one. I looked at platforms like HoneyBook, but they are expensive and didn't feel built for developers. I wanted a lightweight, self-hosted, and white-label solution that handled the essentials—file sharing, project tracking, and invoicing—without the SaaS tax. So I built Atrium. It’s a clean interface that gives clients a single place to track progress and handle billing under my own branding, rather than me stitching together fragmented tools. Core Features: *…

Hi, Piotr here I was collecting nice open-source companies for quite some time now. Mostly to take some inspiration and learn from their code. Last week, I though it would be fun to learn this Astro thing everyone's talking about. So I thought building a directory website out of this collection was pretty good idea. After 2 days of building, OpenAlternative was born. It's a community driven list of open source alternatives to proprietary software and applications. Enjoy and thank you for your support!

Distr is designed to help software engineers distribute and manage their applications or agents in customer-controlled or shared-responsibility environments. You only need a Docker Compose file or Helm chart—everything else for on-prem is handled by the platform. We’re are an open source dev tool company. Over the past couple of months, we’ve spoken with dozens of software companies to understand their challenges with on-prem deployments. We analyzed the internal tools they’ve built and the best practices from existing solutions, combining them into a prebuilt, Open Source solution that…

Hey HN, we're launching Outpost, an open-source, self-hostable component designed to handle outbound event delivery for SaaS/API platforms. If you're building a platform, you eventually need to send events to your users (think payment success, resource updates, workflow changes). Implementing this reliably—handling retries, monitoring, scaling, providing a decent dev experience for consumers, and managing tenants—becomes a significant, recurring engineering task that distracts from core product development. We built Outpost to offload that complexity. Outpost delivers events via…
