Hey everyone. I have dedicated 4 years of my life to building a solution for easy deployment of [primarily] Python and Django apps. Think of it as an equivalent of Laravel Forge/Hatchbox but for Python apps. For those who are not familiar – Platform as a service on your cloud or on-prem servers. Hi guys, I've created an open source web builder framework (https://grapesjs.com) years ago, which I'm still maintaining, and now I'm excited to publish a side project based on it, Grapedrop (https://grapedrop.com). It's a simple web page builder which allows you to design and publish your web pages very quickly. Creator here. I was looking for something as simple as Backblaze Personal [1] but privacy focused and open source. This is my attempt to build that. Uses PyQt6 [2] for the GUI and Pyinstaller [3] for creating the platform specific binaries. The backup engine under the hood is Restic [4]. The server code is written in Laravel [5]. I built this tool about a year ago to get really good at the supabase ecosystem. We were trying to raise money on the idea, but that didn't occur, so I wanted to open-source it, as I would love to give back to the commmunity. It allows you to invite friends and family to be helpers for child-care, meals, and transportation, and then you can create an event and they will get auto-invited to it and can choose to support you.
